ESD is a new method for you to buy and download software via our Webstore instead of receiving it on physical media.

What is the main difference between ESD and the physical purchase of the software?
The main difference is that, with this delivery option, you will receive the software in an easier, fast and safer way, without having to wait for physical media to install.

What are the benefits of buying ESD?

How much time does the download take?
The download time depends on the size of the file, the connection speed and the amount of internet traffic.

For which territories is ESD available?
Initially for Guatemala and Costa Rica.

What process should I follow to purchase this software?

  1. Login to the Webstore with your username and password.
  2. Locate the Product Catalog, Programs and Software category, and Digital Downloads subcategory.
  3. EIn Digital downloads, you can view the list of products available, if you want add products to the shopping cart you must click on Download.
  4. When downloading there will appear a message saying your product has been successfully added.
  5. Confirm the order.
  6. You will receive two emails, one with the confirmation of the purchased products and another that is sent once your payment is confirmed together with the link that directs to the my downloads page.
  7. In My Downloads you will find the list of purchased products and the option to send codes to the customer.
  8. When you click send it will redirect you to the Send codes to my customers page, where you will be able to share download codes to your customers.
  9. Finally your customers will receive an email that will allow them to begin the process for downloading the software successfully.

Which brands offer this new form of electronic delivery?
Initially Microsoft will soon add other brands.

How many times can I download software?
You can download the software as many times as necessary.

I have problems to download the software, what number can i call to receive support?
You can contact a Product Manager of Microsoft in your country.

My client can't find the serial of the downloaded software, how can I help?
You be able to forward the serial to your client following this route: my account - my downloads-distributed code, this last option allows you to forward the serial of each of the products that you purchased.

How can I make a purchase online that directly reaches my customer email?
If you can do this, you must follow these steps:

  1. In My Downloads you will find the list of purchased products and the option to send codes to the customer.
  2. When you click send it will redirect you to the Send codes to my customers page, where you will be able to share download codes to your customers.
  3. Finally your customers will receive an email that will allow them to begin the process for downloading the software successfully.

Can I purchase products that I normally get from the Webstore and the downloadable software on a unique order?
No, orders that include in your shopping cart only must contain downloadable products, otherwise the system will generate you an error in the process.
