The DWL-P100 Power Over Ethernet (POE) Adapters are accessory items designed to supply operational power to devices with an Ethernet port and power requirements that do not exceed 5 Volts/1 Amp. The DWL-P100 Adapters provide an ideal solution to mount a device such as an Access Point virtually anywhere in a building (ceilings, attics, or roofs) without the need to locate the wireless Access Point near an electrical outlet. The DWL-P100 consists of the Base Unit and the Terminal Unit connected by an Ethernet cable to extend the reach up to 100 m (328 feet). The DWL-P100 supplies the AP with power via the single Ethernet Cat 5 cable. The DWL-P100 is primarily targeted at users looking for a convenient solution to extend the coverage of their wireless local network.
