HPE Common Slot (CS) power supplies feature a unified electrical and physical design that enables tool-less, hot-swappable installation in HPE server and storage solutions. CS power supplies are available in multiple high-efficiency input and output options, allowing users to select the optimally sized power supply for specific server/storage configurations and environments. This flexibility helps minimize power loss, reduce overall energy costs and prevent capacity "lock-in" in the data center. As a key component of HPE Thermal Discovery Services, CS power supplies offer the highest efficiency in the IT industry (up to 96%). This enables customers to reduce power consumption per server by up to 60W and data center power consumption by up to 10% (compared to ProLiant G6 power consumption estimates). CS Platinum Plus and Titanium power supplies are also required to enable HPE Power Discovery Services, which are designed to increase compute density and reduce data center downtime.
