The OkiLAN 6100e has NLSP (Novell Link Services Protocol) support built-in, to work with Novell Multiprotocol Router 3.1, or higher which significantly reduces network traffic "overhead, " especially over Wide Area Network (WAN) links. NLSP is now the default routing method used in NetWare 5.0 which provides ease-of-use for OKI network printer users, since there is no need to waste time, or to establish and configure for "backwards" compatibility with older versions of NetWare.
